Privacy Policy — Raseed Station
This policy explains what information the Raseed Station mobile app (“the app”) collects, why we collect it, who can see it, and the choices you have. Attendants and staff at partner fuel stations use the app to scan a driver's Raseed code, enter the amount or litres dispensed, and complete the sale once the driver approves it.
In short: we collect what is needed to sign you in, record the sales you process, and settle them with your station. The camera is used only to scan codes, and nothing it sees is stored. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers.
1. Who we are
Raseed is developed and operated by Cedars Software Solutions (CSS LTD), Liberty Tower, 9th Floor, Hamra, Beirut, Lebanon (“we”, “us”).
You use the app because the station you work at (the “station”) has an agreement with Raseed and has registered you as an operator. The station decides who is registered and with what role, and it can see the sales records described below. We process your information to provide the Raseed service to the station and to you.
2. Information we collect
About you (the station operator)
- Account details provided by your station or by Raseed: your name, mobile phone number, role (for example attendant or manager) and the station you are assigned to.
- Sign-in details: your phone number and your 4-digit PIN. The PIN is stored only as a secure hash.
- Sales you process: for each sale, which operator handled it, the pump number, the amount or litres you entered, the time, and the result (approved, rejected, timed out and so on).
- Device information: a random identifier the app generates for the phone or till, used to bind your sign-in to that device.
- Notification token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging token that lets us send notifications to the phone.
- Usage and security logs: when the device last connected, your IP address and app identifier on sign-in and security-relevant requests, and failed sign-in attempts.
About drivers you serve
When you scan a driver's code, the app shows only what you need to complete the sale: the vehicle's plate, make and model, the allowed fuel grade, the maximum fill amount and the driver's first name. The app never shows the driver's phone number or their company's balance. The code itself is sent to Raseed to be verified and is not kept on the phone.
Camera
The app uses the camera only to read the QR code on the driver's phone. The image is processed on the device to read the code. No photos or video are saved or sent to us.
Location
The current version of the app does not access the device's location. Transactions are linked to your station's registered address, not to the phone's position. If a future version uses location, we will ask for permission first and update this policy beforehand.
3. Phone permissions
| Permission | Why the app asks |
|---|---|
| Internet | To verify codes and record sales with the Raseed service. |
| Camera | To scan the driver's QR code. Nothing is recorded. |
| Notifications | To alert you about sales and your station. You can turn this off in the phone's settings. |
4. How we use your information
- To sign you in and keep your session bound to the station's device.
- To verify driver codes, send the fill amount to the driver for approval, and complete the sale.
- To show you and your station today's sales and sales history.
- To calculate what is owed to the station and produce settlement statements.
- To prevent fraud and misuse, for example a reused code, or an amount the driver did not approve.
- To send notifications, provide support, fix problems and keep the service secure.
- To meet our legal, accounting and audit obligations.
We process your information to perform the service agreed with your station, for our legitimate interest in keeping payments secure and preventing fraud, and to comply with the law.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising. We share it only as follows:
- Your station (and its owner or distributor): the sales you processed and the operator who handled each one, for daily reports and settlement.
- The driver's fleet company: the record of each fill on its vehicles, including the station, pump, time, amount and litres.
- Service providers who run parts of the service for us under confidentiality obligations: cloud hosting and storage (DigitalOcean) and push notifications (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- Legal reasons: when required by law, court order or a competent authority, or to protect the rights and safety of users, stations or us.
- Business transfer: if the Raseed service is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new operator under this policy.
Our service providers may process data on servers outside Lebanon. Where they do, we rely on their contractual and security commitments to protect it.
6. What stays on the phone
- The sign-in session and the device identifier, kept in the phone's secure storage.
- The phone number last used to sign in, so the next shift does not have to retype it. Your PIN is never saved on the phone.
- The display preference (light or dark theme).
Signing out ends the session. The remembered phone number stays until you sign in with a different number or clear the app's data.
7. How long we keep it
- Sales, settlement and audit records: 7 years, as required for financial and audit purposes.
- Operator account and device information: while you are a registered operator, then for as long as needed to close records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.
- Notification tokens are replaced whenever the phone issues a new one and are removed when no longer valid.
8. Security
We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed PINs, device-bound sign-in tokens, sessions that expire and require the PIN again, encryption of sensitive fields such as notification tokens, and access controls on who can see what. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if a breach affects you.
9. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, including Lebanese Law No. 81 of 2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete (your operator profile may be managed by your station, so we may pass the request to them);
- delete your information, subject to the records we must keep (see section 7);
- object to or limit certain processing.
You can turn off notifications in the phone's settings at any time. Camera access is needed to scan codes. Without it, sales cannot be started from this phone. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity first.
10. Deleting your account
Operator accounts are created for your station. To delete yours:
- ask your station manager or owner to remove you as an operator, or
- email [email protected] with the subject “Raseed Station account deletion”, your name, your station, and the phone number on your account.
We will deactivate your account, revoke its devices, and delete your personal information within 30 days of confirming your request. The exception is sales and audit records we are legally required to keep for 7 years, which remain restricted and are deleted when that period ends. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete your account.
11. Children
The app is for adult staff of partner fuel stations. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or through your station before the change takes effect.
